Hear Now Audio Fiction and Arts Festival

2023 Hear Learn Workshops

The Hear Now Festival began life back in 1979 as the Midwest Radio Theatre Workshop. More than four decades later, workshops remain central to our mission. Now established as a program of NATF separate from the Hear Now Festival,  Hear Learn workshops carry this tradition of education for the audio fiction community into the 21st century.

Hear Learn: Voice For Games Workshop

Saturday, November 4th - Sunday, November 5th

National Audio Theatre Festivals, Inc. (NATF) is pleased to announce our latest workshop, Hear Learn: Voice for Games, with instructors Bonnie Bogovich and Alexander Brandon

Join two award-winning voice and audio artists for an introduction to voice in the video game industry.

Through a combination of lectures, group discussion, and attendee participation, our instructors will lead the class through various uses of voiceover in video games, past and present. You’ll engage with the instructors for critique and feedback to hone your acting and directing skills, and there’ll be an ongoing discussion and Q&A about building and maintaining relationships with directors, writers, casting sources, game teams, and more. From creating or auditioning for a casting post, to what to do once the sessions are wrapped up, we will discuss all the skills you need to keep engaged in the profession.
