Hear Learn Workshop:
Voice Acting for Audio Theatre

Instructors: Leraldo Anzaldua, Peter Spellos

Description:

Hearing a story told from a character’s perspective can take you on an emotional and adventurous journey, and make you feel invested in the people you meet along the way. Bringing a character to life and giving that character voice is a rich and fun skill that reaches all over the world.

In Voice Acting for Audio Theatre, you’ll learn the skills and foundational concepts that will fully give life to a narrative, whether it is for animation, audiobook, cartoon, or anime. You will become familiar with techniques that prepare and train your voice to sustain a character sound in a healthy way and maximize your productivity as a voice actor.

We will take you through creating character sounds and vocal choices that give your characters a rich and filled life, and will challenge you with original scripts and content that put your skills to the test!

The instructors will present you with critiques and feedback to hone your vocal skills. There will be ongoing discussion and Q&A about the business of voiceover: how to get started in it, the tools you will need to work init, and how to keep engaged in the profession.
