Description:
If 2020 has taught us anything it is that our society still has a long way to go in our quest for equality. The same is true of our industry. If we want BIPOC individuals, immigrants, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and other groups that face discrimination to receive equal opportunities and representation, we cannot simply hope for things to change. Instead, we must actively work to disrupt the existing paradigm that systemically puts minorities at a disadvantage in the audio fiction arts.
Join members of the NATF Board of Directors’ Diversity & Inclusion committee to discuss the state of diversity at NATF and brainstorm actionable ways we can move forward. This will be a completely open discussion; anyone is welcome to attend, listen, learn, and speak their piece. After the festival, the notes from this session will be compiled and shared with all who attend this session, so that we can continue to work together towards equality throughout the year.
